Da Luglio 2020 si è ufficialmente aperto il nuovo anno rotaractiano. Si è difatti celebrato l’annuale passaggio delle consegne del Rotarct club Latina.
Il Rotaract è un’associazione di service presente in tutto il mondo e coinvolge giovani dai 18 ai 30 anni. Il Rotaract accresce il senso civico dei giovani, affina la loro capacità di leadership e di comunicazione, svolge una funzione sociale e culturale nell’ambito della comunità e promuove la comprensione internazionale.
Il Presidente uscente Rosalba Amelia ha lasciato la presidenza del Club alla sottoscritta Presidente entrante Samantha Campolo.
Socia da quasi 10 anni, ritengo che il Rotaract sia una preziosa occasione di crescita e quest’anno ci focalizzeremo sui giovani e sul territorio. Il Rotaract club di Latina ogni anno contribuisce ad attività di service locale, italiano e internazionale. L’obiettivo di questo anno rotaractiano 2020/2021 è quello di condividere il proprio service con la città di appartenenza, Latina. Abbiamo in cantiere iniziative a sostegno della valorizzazione del territorio, dell’inclusione culturale e sociale, con il progetto “Latina per tutti”. Come ormai da anni, il Rotaract sostiene l’Ospedale santa Maria Goretti di Latina con il progetto “Dona un sorriso”. Infine, sono in programma diverse attività di formazione, di prevenzione e informazione nel campo della salute, iniziative formative per guidare i giovani al mondo del lavoro e iniziative di pubblico interesse. Le attività saranno svolte in stretta collaborazione con gli enti del territorio, con il Rotary Club padrino, con i club limitrofi e con il Distretto 2080.
Ringrazio il Presidente del Rotary club di Latina – Pasquale Tarricone e del delegato Rotary per il Rotaract – Attilio Gisotti per il supporto che ci hanno da subito dimostrato.
Il Rotaract significa anche coinvolgimento. È quindi compito di ciascun socio partecipare e, prima ancora che coinvolgere altri, sentirsi coinvolti. Inoltre, credo sia oggi doveroso, anche in un quadro di innovazione e costanza, ritrovare il valore del Service, richiamandolo nuovamente e con forza tra i principi centrali dell’attività del buon rotaractiano.
Il motto di questo anno è “un club, un team, un service”. Credo che il più grande spirito del Rotaract sia l’amicizia che lega il nostro team ed è alla base del successo del club. Sono orgogliosa di condividere questo anno con il nuovo consiglio Direttivo: Francesca Luna Vice Presidente e Presidente Commissione Interna, Silvia Alessandri Vice Presidente e Presidente Commissione Pubblico Interesse, Giulia Ficarola Segretaria, Federica Pes Segretaria, Alessandra Luna Prefetto, Alessia Beatrice Prefetto, Isabella Velardo Tesoriere e Presidente Commissione Internazionale, Eros Andreoli Tesoriere, Benedetto Delle Site Presidente Commissione Professionale. Consiglieri: Nicola di Fazio, Emanuela Cayro Santoro e Gabriella Ruggiero.
Il Rotarct club Latina è attiva sul territorio da 51 anni e, attualmente, conta all’attivo 15 soci ed è aperta ad accogliere nuovi giovani e giovanissime.
